Not cleaning the surface before application
Give your leather surface a light clean to get rid of any previous conditioner, dirt, or body oils. Leather needs to be clean for the conditioner to penetrate properly and provide long-lasting nourishment and protection.

Pouring product directly on the leather or vinyl surface
Our concentrated product spreads best when applied to a dense microfiber and leaves no spots on your leather. Pouring directly onto leather can create uneven absorption, dark spots, and waste product.

Not using the right microfiber
For best results, use a dense pile microfiber that does not absorb too much product, does not shed, and leaves a clean finish. The wrong towel will waste product, leave lint behind, or create an uneven appearance.
The fixUse our Car Detailing Microfiber or a similar dense, high-quality microfiber towel. Avoid cheap towels that shed fibers or terry cloth that absorbs too much product.

Rub

Buff
- Use a clean, dry microfiber towel, not the applicator pad
- Buff in straight lines, not circles, until the surface is streak-free
- Flip the towel to a clean side frequently

What if the leather looks darker after application?
This is normal. Leather naturally darkens slightly when conditioned because the product penetrates and nourishes the material. The color will lighten as it dries, usually within 15 to 30 minutes. If it remains too dark, you used too much product. Next time, use less and buff more thoroughly with a clean microfiber towel.
How much product should I use?
Start with a dime-sized amount for a 2ft x 2ft area (about one seat cushion). Ultimate Leather Conditioner is highly concentrated, so a little goes a long way. You can always add more, but you cannot take it back. If the leather feels greasy or sticky, you have used too much.
Can I use this on all types of leather?
Yes. Ultimate Leather Conditioner works on finished leather, semi-aniline leather, and most automotive leather types. However, avoid using on suede, nubuck, or unfinished and raw leather. If you have exotic leather or are unsure of your leather type, test on a small, hidden area first, like under the seat or on the side bolster.
The leather feels sticky or greasy. What should I do?
You applied too much product. Buff the surface more aggressively with a clean, dry microfiber towel. If it is still sticky, apply a tiny amount of fresh product to the towel and buff it out. This helps pick up the excess. The leather should feel smooth and slightly conditioned, not tacky or greasy.
Can I use this on vinyl or faux leather?
Yes. Ultimate Leather Conditioner works beautifully on vinyl, faux leather, and synthetic leather surfaces. Apply the same way, to a microfiber cloth first, then work into the surface. It will restore shine and provide UV protection without leaving a greasy residue.
How often should I condition my leather?
For automotive leather, condition every 3 to 4 months or seasonally, about 4 times per year. If your car is exposed to extreme heat, direct sunlight, or harsh conditions, condition every 2 months. Over-conditioning can make leather greasy, so more is not always better.
How do I store the product?
Store Ultimate Leather Conditioner at room temperature (50 to 85F), away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use. Shake well before each application. Properly stored, the product has a shelf life of 2 to 3 years.
Will this remove scratches or cracks in leather?
No. Ultimate Leather Conditioner nourishes and protects leather but does not repair structural damage like deep scratches, cracks, or tears. However, it will make minor scratches less visible by restoring moisture and shine to the surrounding leather. Deep damage requires professional leather repair or touch-up products.
