Common mistakes to avoid

Using too much product
Foam applicators are designed to absorb and distribute minimal product efficiently. Overloading the applicator wastes product, creates uneven application, and makes it harder to achieve a smooth, streak-free finish. The soft foam works best when lightly loaded.
The fixApply a small amount of product, pea to dime-sized, directly to the applicator, not the surface. Let the foam absorb it for a few seconds, then apply in thin, even coats. You can always add more product, but starting with less gives you better control.

Using bleach or fabric softener
Bleach breaks down foam structure and causes applicators to deteriorate rapidly. Fabric softener coats the foam cells, reducing absorbency and leaving residue that transfers onto surfaces. Both chemicals significantly shorten the life of your applicators and reduce their effectiveness.
The fixMachine wash your applicators in warm water with mild detergent only. Never use bleach or fabric softener. Air dry or tumble dry with no heat. This keeps the foam structure intact and maintains optimal absorbency for years.

Using a high heat setting on the dryer
High heat destroys foam applicators by melting the synthetic foam structure, causing them to harden, crack, or lose their soft texture. Once heat-damaged, applicators become stiff and ineffective, and cannot be restored.
The fixAlways air dry your applicators by laying them flat or hanging them, or tumble dry on the no-heat air-fluff setting only. Remove promptly from the dryer and store in a clean, dry place. Proper drying ensures your applicators stay soft and effective.
